LIME’s landline customers can now relish in the introduction of a new Internet package, Mega Browse and Talk (Mega B & T), which merges talk credit and unlimited data service.
The ‘browse and talk’ plan offers Internet and voice calling at one low monthly cost, where customers will receive talk credit equivalent to the value of the package, in addition to the unlimited access to Internet.
Currently there are two offers – Mega Plus B & T and Mega Extreme B & T. With Mega Plus, customers pay J$2,500 plus tax and get 2500 worth of talk credit and browsing speed of up to 2 Mbps. On the Mega Extreme plan, customers get 3300 talk credit and a browsing speed of up to 8 Mbps at a flat rate of J$3,300 plus tax.
Dwight Williams, Head of Product Services, LIME Jamaica says that “the main reason for coming up with such a plan is to increase Internet penetration within the country.”
“Right now only 20 percent of Jamaicans have access to Internet in their homes and research has shown that it’s because of the expense. We have realized that one of the ways we have to change this is to make access more affordable because no family should be without Internet. Internet access shouldn’t have to be a luxury item; we want it to be a basic necessity for everyone,” he continued.
With the talk credit that they receive, customers can call local mobile and landline, anywhere in United States and Canada as well as any landline in the UK.
Customers who wish to make calls outside of the plan and to other destinations can use a JUS TALK Calling Card.
