Susie's Bakery & Coffee Bar
Susie’s Bakery and Coffee Bar is known for its delectable desserts. However, it will be offering more than just sweet treats. During The Gleaner sponsored Restaurant Week (RW) last year Susie’s officially launched its restaurant bar and grill on the terrace.
Last year Susie’s also went into a new category, having upgraded from a bakery and coffee bar to a restaurant. Susie Hanna, owner of the facility, said they will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. And Sunday brunch offers an all-you-can-eat buffet.
The terrace is open nightly and there is special entertainment package. “Mondays is Mojito night, Wednesday has a live band on the terrace. From Thursday to Saturday nights, there is happy hour and on weekends, the appetiser bar is open until 2:a.m.,” said Hanna.
The restaurant has a sports bar vibe, so dressing is casual. Hanna notes that she is trying to develop a whole new meeting place that not only caters to executives but to everyone.
Currently the restaurant can seat 75 people but for RW they will be bringing in extra chairs. Popular meals on the menu include hot sandwiches, sliders, and hot and spicy shrimp dishes. “We do everything in-house and try to make our dishes unique and different.”

Chicken & Ribs, grilled and basted with Susie's spicy pineapple BBQ sauce. Served with crispy oven potatoes and sauteed seasonal vegetables.
Chicken Alfredo a la Hawaii
Grilled chicken strips served over a bed of fettuccine Alfredo a la Hawaii served with crispy garlic bread and fresh parmesan cheese.
