R

USEA’S HIGH School is

embedded with pride

and a rich history of

excellence! I must admit that

at the initial stage of my

journey at the institution, I

lived each day between the

pages of my books as I

wanted to establish and

maintain a good academic

standard. However, on my

journey to self-realisation, I

discovered that Rusea’s High

School was not only a place

for academic learning, but a

community built to help us as

students harness our talents

and reach our full potential.

Rusea’s has afforded me the

opportunity to showcase my

entrepreneurial talent in the

Junior Achievement

Competition, where I helped

our company (Teen Labour

Enterprise) triumph as the top

company in Jamaica,

producing nourishing

gluten-free breadfruit flour.

Now in our 240th year of

existence, we can boast

notable accomplishments in

academia, sports, arts,

outreach activities, and so

many other areas. Our positive

impact and influence on the

community of western Jamaica

are the reasons we are seen as

a beacon in the west. The

school’s culture and solid

achievements are the legacies

of the hard work of our

predecessors and now rest on

the shoulders of the current

school family, who must keep its

banner flying to make sure that

Labor Omnia Vincit

becomes a

spirit that will not die.
