International Credit Union Day 2021

THE GLEANER, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2021 | www.jamaica-gleaner.com | E1 SECTION E T ODAY IS International Credit Union Day. It is being celebrated in Jamaica by our 25 credit unions and over one million members. This magnificent celebration is also being observed worldwide, where we have over 120 countries joining us in the celebration. For the week, we have executed many planned activities islandwide that are intended to focus on the achievements of the Credit Union Movement in Jamaica. The theme for this year is ‘Building Financial Health for a Brighter Tomorrow’. You can rest assured that your credit union is your financial partner and we are here to ensure that your financial well-being and health is secured today, tomorrow and well into the future. As not-for-profit financial co-operatives, credit unions’ earnings are invested in helping members. In addition to lower rates and better service, members experience the difference that comes from our democratic structure, our services to members, and the social support that is provided by credit unions’ philosophy of ‘people helping people’. We are inviting all of you to join with your credit union for the week of observances and to learn more about how credit unions as financial co-operatives can help you. At the credit union, you are family: ‘My Credit Union, My Family’/’Fi Mi Credit Union, Fi Mi Family’. I wish for all credit union members a very successful week of observance.
