You are the credit union and so the accolades belong to you! Surviving and growing during the finan- cial collapse of the ‘90s is just one of many amazing feats that you have accomplished in your half a century. No wonder the peo- ple of Portland have entrusted their financial well-being to your care. Being a living tes- tament to your ability to transform a finan- cially embarrassed graduate into a financially stable, thriving member, rising to the ranks of volunteer in this noble movement, adds credence to your slogan‘Moving ahead, serv- ing you better’, and for that and more I salute you. Your commitment to the development of the parish through your support for edu- cation and sports highlights your corporate profile and social responsibility, and for that I salute you! As you financially guide your membership through the challenges of this pandemic brought on by COVID-19, as you make adjustments to negotiate the regulatory clutches of the Bank of Jamaica, and as you plan for the unforeseen challenges ahead, I wish for you continued growth of membership and institutional capital, high return on assets, massive surplus, and rea- sonable annual dividend payment to your membership!
