Royale Computers 20th Anniversary

The past two decades were not only marked by success in business for us at Royale Computers & Accessories, but also by fulfillment of our corporate social responsibility. Our Founding Director, Mr. Vashi Khemlani burned wi th an immense passion for helping others and that passion has since been imparted to the directors. Certainly, the story of Royale Computers would be incomplete without mention of the countless children and adults, especially in the education and health sectors, whose lives have been positively impacted by this passion for giving. The outbreak of the Coronavirus in 2020 resul ted in the transformat ion of the education and labour landscapes, and caused greater reliance on technology. This shift was a challenge for many who did not have access to the necessary devices. To fill this gap, Royale Computers partnered with several organisations and individuals in dist r ibut ing elect ronic devices to students across varying communities, so that they could attend school online. Addi t ional ly, through col laborat ions such as ZIP 103’s tablet drive, and the Jamaica Nat ional Bank and Rotaract Club’s Enhanced Learning Ini t iat ive, Royale Computers & Accessories has been engaged in sponsorship/donation projects for recipients such as the Jamaica Cancer Society, Balcombe Drive Primary School, Barnes Basic School, Mustard Seed Communities, as well as the Holy Family Primary and Infant School. As the nation struggled to manage the mammoth increase in expectations and requirements in the healthcare sector, Royale stepped in to help support the front-line workers by contributing isolation gowns, gloves and UV ster i l izers for phones to the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI). Not forgetting the impact on average day to day Jamaicans, Royale partnered with the Wire Fence New Testament Church in Trelawny which organised the distribution of care packages containing essential items to members of the surrounding community. In continuing to solidify our philanthropic efforts and as part of our 20th Anniversary celebrations we wi l l be launching the Vashi Khemlani Foundation in honour of our Founding Director. The aim of this foundation is to ‘Bring Technology to the Underserved.’ As we continue to grow, we pledge to work toward this aim through the provision of access to resources to the underserved, in an effort to improve their quality of life. As we at Royale Computers & Accessories celebrate 20 years of loyalty and support by our Jamaican citizens, we renew our promise to be good corporate citizens as well.
