TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2021 52 INGREDIENTS For the sorrel: 4 cups water 1 lb fresh sorrel, cleaned and peeled 1 bay leaf 2 cinnamon sticks 5 cloves 1⁄2 inch ginger For the sorbet: 1 cup home-made sorrel drink (see above) 1 Shandy Carib Sorrel 2 cups light corn syrup 1 tablespoon rum 1⁄2 teaspoon salt SPICED SORREL SORBET DIRECTIONS 1. Place the peeled sorrel, water, bay leaf, ginger, clove and sugar together in a large pot. 2. Set over medium high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer about 20 minutes. 3. Strain the mixture, keeping the liquids and discarding the solids. 4. To make the sorbet, combine the home-made sorrel, Shandy Carib Sorrel, corn syrup, rum and salt together in a medium bowl and give it a good stir. 5.
