NAME OF FEATURE | THE GLEANER | SUNDAY, JULY 12, 2020 3 THE GOLDEN jubilee of Jamaica Wells and Services Limited (JWS) offers an opportunity to not just celebrate the company for its 50 years of excellent service, but to also celebrate the value of this ser- vice to the infrastructural growth of Jamaica’s agricultural and domestic water supply. JAMAICA WELLS has been a key partner leveraging one of our prime assets – our water - and has also played an indelible role in strate- gically managing our irrigation infrastructure while driving tech- nological advancements and ad- aptation within the sector. Having partnered with agen- cies such as the National Water Commission, the National Irrigation Commission, the Water Resources Authority, and Rural Water Supply Limited, JamaicaWells has ingrained itself in the sector as a small yet dy- namic company that is now consid- ered a leader in the field. As a grade one listed contrac- tor with the Public Procurement Commission inWell Drilling, JWS has attained the highest grade achieva- ble in this regard and is also the only certified well-drilling company in Jamaica with accreditation from the National GroundWater Association (NGWA). I commend JWS on the strides made over these past 50 years and congratulate and thank the direc- tors and staff for helping to engineer our water resources infrastructure. I wish for all stakeholders con- tinued success and another fruitful 50 years! These achievements would not have been possible without the solid leadership and dedication of your staff, and for this reason, I would like to commend the manage- ment team for its vision and perseverance in guiding the development of Jamaica Wells. Since the formation in 1970, there is sufficient evidence that the ser- vices have been well received, with the expansion of your customer base, which is usually the indicator of customer satisfaction and confidence in service delivery. In many ways, Jamaica Wells stands out from its competitors, but par- ticularly for its near full-service approach in designing, supplying, and installing water-pump solutions as well as for your 24-hour emergency response services. The last few months have been very challenging for many companies, and I am certain that JamaicaWells and Services Limited has had its share of issues; however, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the leadership and staff of the company for bringing the company through those difficult periods and for maintaining the company’s high standard in supply and service delivery. Let me commend the company as well for your contribution to the development of Jamaica. As you celebrate this most momentous occasion, let me wish for the management and staff continued success in your mission to invest in the future of Jamaica.
