OPTIMIST CLUB OF KINGSTON 40TH ANNIVERSARY Church HIGH LIGHTS The Optimist Club of Kingston honoured charter member and Past International President Theodore Golding, the first black president of Optimist International, who paved the way for our current and second black president, Adrian Elcock, from Barbados, of the 101-year-old organisation. Charter President Andy was also recognised for his unwavering service for 40 years, along with the distinguished and outstanding governor, Dave Wilson, and Treasurer Calman Barrett, for selfless support to the Optimist Club of Kingston and the Optimist International Caribbean District. service and doing things so that they can embrace optimism as a way of life. As we press forward to newer and higher heights of service, we must become a force of reckoning in the Caribbean region and con- tinue to blaze a trail that ignites people everywhere to think only of the best, and to expect only the best.
