Spanish & French Workshop: Coordinated by the Modern Languages Department, these workshops bring students of Spanish & French from various high schools across Jamaica, engendering a greater appreciation and command of both languages. 42. Open Day 2025: The college welcomed stakeholders to its Open Day, which showcased the academic programmes, students’ achievements, and vibrant campus life at Sam Sharpe Teachers’College, while engaging prospective students, and other stakeholders in meaningful dialogue about educational opportunities and institutional excellence. 43. Entrepreneurship Day: Hosted with the presence of small businesses and well-established organizations, Entrepreneurship Day is an initiative of the Professional Studies & Business Departments. It seeks to highlight the importance of having entrepreneurial skills and showcases the businesses of students and external persons. 44. Lunch Sacrifice: Hosted annually, this is a signature tradition of the college where we give back to Granville and neighbouring communities. This event also sees the members of the college going into homes for elderly and less fortunate individuals, providing them with meals for the day, toiletries and clothes. 45. Western Tertiary Debates: Introduced by the college as a competition that brings together tertiary institutions in Western Jamaica, honing the oratory skills and harnessing the rhetorical prowess of our student-teachers and students from the participating institutions. 46. Special Education Conferences: Annually, the Special Education Department hosts several conferences that aim to heighten awareness on different matters. These include the Gifted Children Moving Towards Inclusion Conference, Autism Webinars and Parent Webinars. 47.
