Millennium Paving Stones “This is not your typical garden stepping stone,” boasts Managing Director Jason Silvera, “as it is made to a much higher standard than the regular ornamental gar- den stepping stone.” The regular paver carries a den- sity of 1½ inch while this larger paver is 2½ to 3 inches thick. He cited this move was in keeping with a growing trend for more con- temporary aesthetics in architec- ture and landscaping. This new product may be just what the ar- chitect ordered. The paver is crisp and serene. It flaunts a grey clean finish; it is thicker and heavier than the standard, and is available in a range of sizes 8”x16”, 16”x16” to 24”x 24”. Customers have the option of choosing from either the square or rectangular orientations. For customers who think grey is not salient enough, they can have the colour of their choosing as the company offers customised colours and an array of palettes from which to choose. Primarily for external paving, these pavers can be used for pedestrian walkways, pathways and decorative garden projects. Whether for domestic or commer- cial projects, the stones can be laid for a variety of aesthetic or designer preference. They can be laid with a gap between them to create an area that is permeable; allows for grass to grow between it, or no space at all like traditional pavers. Small project may lend it- self to a do-it-yourselfer. For larger projects and those with technical considerations, such as drainage space and the need for having a meticulous flush alignment, a professional is recommended. Sometimes bigger is better, and this spells true for the large-format rectangular-shape paver which is ideal for creating French pattern.
