Managing Director Allison Tulloch said, “We started in 2012 but we used to order for devel- opment and so we didn’t have a display or a showroom.” She continued: “We would order items for the customer and the goods will be delivered directly from the wharf to the customer.” Now, the company distributes for Durastone Jamaica Limited and also does scaffolding and props. They also distribute York air-conditioning units. So commit- ted is Garot Trading to customer satisfaction that they stock all the necessities for a fabulous home or office space from start to finish by also carrying the parts for these items. “We sell plumbing things for the things that we sell, such as angle vas, flex hose, bowl wax and others,” Tulloch said. Garot Trading is located at 169 Constant Spring Road, Kingston 8, which is also home to Electrical Depot and other spots. Tulloch says although the company is relatively new to the market, her team is grateful that with each opportunity to serve a customer, they are growing and learning. She points out: “Because we are small, I want our customer service to stand out and the quality of what we sell to be paramount. “We went out and we listened to what customers have asked us for,” Tulloch noted. “We’re bringing in luxury stones, and these are where courtside has taken over the market. Our regular granite is surprisingly not moving as fast as our courtside, hence people come in and see something different.” With this customer service promise, the team at Garot will quickly try and resolve any issues customers may have. Garot Trading and Installation Limited A QUIET STORM ON THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC COVID-19 has brought much uncertainty globally, but even in harsh times, Garot Trading is continuing to play its part for the betterment of all Jamaicans. “We would like to wish all our Jamaican citizens, customers, friends and families to stay safe and wear a mask,” Tulloch said. “We operate whereby you cannot enter the showroom without a mask, but sometimes we might have masks there, so if you forget, a mask could be there.” She also pointed out that there is regular san- itisation at the physical location and that “we try to keep our ears on the ground to see where we can donate to people who are less fortunate as best as we can”.
