Our support of this initiative will result in the following benefits:  The renovation of this space will facilitate increased access to the internet and enhancement of the computer skills of at-risk youth who will benefit from the programme.  This initiative supports one of the core focus areas of the organization's Corporate Social Responsibility programme which is the education of our nation's youth and community development.  This provides the opportunity to strengthen our image, improve brand awareness and visibility .” 47 The memorandum also stated the following: “ PETROJAM REQUEST In April, Board approval was received for the construction of a Community Centre in McCooks Pen, St. Catherine. However, Petrojam has since been informed by the McCooks Pen Citizens Association that they were able to secure funding from an alternative source and were no longer in need of said sponsorship. Petrojam is requesting of the Board of Directors, permission to repurpose the Nine Million, three hundred and eighty one dollars and fifty cents (J$9,000,381.50) that was previously approved for the construction of space for classroom and computer lab in McCooks Pen and donate same to the Sydenham Citizens 47 Memorandum dated July 5, 2017, from Floyd Grindley, former General Manager, Petrojam Limited, to the former Board of Directors, Petrojam Limited.
