GAYLE President General, Bustamante Industrial Trade Union Earned and deserves every accolade C ONGRATULAT IONS TO the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) on 25 landmark years as a leader in the Jamaican aviation industry. Having taken up the responsibility to en- force the Civil Aviation Regulations, the authority has grown into a first- class agency of the Government of Jamaica, as well as a leader in the region in aviation. The accomplishments are many. The Jamaica Aviation Inspectors Association applauds the effort of this relatively young organisation in achieving world-class standards and looks forward to working together for greater achievements. GARY CARR President of the Jamaica Aviation Inspectors Association JCAA – A leader in regional aviation O VER THE last 100 years, education, medicine and aviation have steadfastly maintained the enviable position of being the sectors that have made the largest global impact. All three areas are served by personnel with specialised skills, with aviation being, simultane- ously, the most technologically advanced and the smallest of the three. The global aviation commu- nity is, indeed, small (in terms of number of personnel), but vast in terms of languages, cultures, and varying areas of specialisation. Notwithstanding, we all operate under the same lofty and safe- ty-centric principles and stand- ards of service that have made our contribution to humanity and global progress invaluable. This cooperation and uniformity of service and standards form the basis of the bond that makes the aviation community a well-oiled family, with unparalleled global impact. Jamaica is currently celebrating 75 years of operation in aviation, and has always offered regulatory oversight, air navigational service delivery and aviation training at the highest levels. Jamaica has been and continues to be recog- nised by all the aviation stake- holders globally, as operating at the highest standards of safety and service delivery. Over the last 25 years, the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority has been charged with carrying the man- tle for the nation, and has done so successfully. It is with this in mind, that the management association at the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority wishes the Jamaican aviation sector a ‘Happy 75th anniversary’, and the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority a ‘Happy 25th anniversary!’ We are, indeed, ‘25 Years Strong, 75 Years Along’. DR FABIAN DIXON Happy 25th anniversary, JCAA! “ Jamaica has been and continues to be recognised by all the aviation stakeholders globally, as operating at the highest standards of safety and service delivery. “ The Jamaica Aviation Inspectors Association applauds the effort of this relatively young organisation assisted and guided our organisation on the path to shared success, and for this we remain forever grateful. Let us, as we celebrate, remem- ber aviation’s lesson that challenges remain endemic to the road of pro- gression. Strength and growth will continue to come only through continuous effort, collaboration and cooperation. The JCAA remains steadfast in its commitment towards improving, and efficiently and safely regulat- ing Jamaica’s aviation industry. We will continue to proudly serve and engage all local, regional, and inter- national partners, as we cooperate to ensure the further development of a safe, efficient, innovative and modern aviation industry for all Jamaicans and our stakeholders.
