Royal Medical Centre

THE GLEANER, THURSDAY, JUNE 24, 2021 | www.jamaica-gleaner.com | F1 SECTION F MESSAGES I CONVEY heartiest congratulations to the Royale Medical Company on the attainment of its 25th anniversary. Based in the parish of Westmoreland, the company is the brainchild of Dr Evan Nepaul, who worked to ensure that he fulfilled a long-held dream of his father to pursue medicine and to carve out a space in the parish, in realisation of his father’s vision. In establishing the Royale Medical Centre in 1996, Dr and Mrs Nepaul took advantage of the opportunity to provide medical service in a wide range of areas, moving from a private facility for outpatient care to providing services in most specialties. The company now serves the public in various fields of medicine through outpatient clinics and the Royale Hospital. The support and service of dedicated surgeons and other medical practitioners ensure the highest level of health service delivery to the many residents of the parish of Westmoreland and its environs. The centre has received many awards of appreciation by the citizenry in recognition of its service and achievement at many levels throughout the parish. I commend the centre on its excellent civic involvement through its support of charitable and other events in the parish. Throughout its years of service, the Royale Medical Centre has undoubtedly overcome many challenges that faced companies in their early operations. I, therefore, use this occasion to encourage the Nepauls to aspire to even greater heights in providing quality healthcare to its clientele in and beyond the parish of Westmoreland. Congratulations on your 25th anniversary. THE MOST HON ANDREW HOLNESS, ON, MP Prime Minister Stay focused on your vision I T IS with great pleasure that I convey hearty congratulations to the Royale Medical Company on their milestone achievement of celebrating 25 years of operations. The Royale Medical Company’s story is deeply connected to that of its founder, Dr Evan Nepaul. Dr Nepaul completed his postgraduate DM in obstetrics & gynaecology at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, and was then offered a double sponsorship post in England by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He accepted this distinguished offer, and achieved great success working in England in his chosen medical specialty. Dr Nepaul’s passion for his work and his community brought him back to Jamaica as the head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Savanna-la- Mar Hospital, where he served until 2016. In the meantime, the Royale Medical Centre and Hospital, which he and his wife established in 1996, continued to flourish, growing from strength to strength over the years in pursuit of their focused mission. They embrace the mantra ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’ (of which the acronym is TEAM), and teamwork has been an essential ingredient in their success over the years. I applaud the RoyaleMedical Company’s noble mission, and wish Dr and Mrs Nepaul and the entire team great success in achieving their lofty and admirable goals.
