NAME OF FEATURE | THE GLEANER | SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2025 57 Development at CB Group, expressed her delight with the JSWIFT platform stating that “it is fantastic and has helped significantly,” and added that she believes the current delays experienced in the importation process can be rectified with more Agencies being integrated onto the platform. The CB Group team also came prepared with their specific concerns that will not only help to benefit their company but also the sector and while rectifying the concerns raised during the discussion, Commissioner Ricketts Walker shared the numerous ways the Agency can be accessed to include the Quality Assurance Meeting (a face-to-face meeting for the JCA and its stakeholders), the Customer Relationship and Feedback Form and their Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) representative [another initiative by the JCA to improve the efficiency and service delivery to qualified stakeholders]. As the Group ventures into agriculture, Orane Thompson, Supervisor of Incentives at the JCA, used the opportunity to share with the executives of the Group, the various Productive Inputs Relief (PIR) and incentives available to productive sectors. The group also gained information pertaining to export and the Agency’s International and Industry Liaison Unit where knowledge of Trade Agreements can be garnered. The worthwhile discussions concluded with a tour of the facilities housed by the CB Group.
