She lives by the philosophy, “I can do all things through
Christ who strengthens me,” and when she says “all
things”, she really means it. Gillian is a woman of many
talents and ambitions, her varied interests stem from her inquisitive
nature and desire to experience it all. Her role model is Oprah
Winfrey, whom she admires because of her humanitarianism and
perseverance. Gillian follows the example of Oprah by her involvement
in the Rotaract Club, a community outreach organization and
assisting in charity drives for children and adults.
Gillian
and Miss Jamaica World: Gillian has changed a lot
throughout the process of the pageant. She enjoys interacting
with such a range of personalities, and how she has been able
to enhance herself with the grooming and speech lessons. If
she becomes the next Miss Jamaica World she would like to
work in counseling sexually assaulted girls.
