Tropical Depression Fifteen spreads heavy rains over the Netherlands Antilles

At 5.00 a.m. the centre of Tropical Depression Fifteen was located near latitude 14.3 degrees north and longitude 69.2 degrees west or about 565 kilometres southwest of San Juan, Puerto Rico and about 225 kilometres north of Curacao.
                    
The depression is moving towards the southeast near 4km/hr. A turn to the east and then northeast is expected today…with a gradual increase in forward speed on Wednesday .
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Gradual Strengthening is forecast over the next 48 hours and the system is expected to become a tropical storm today. All interests, especially fishers on the cays and banks, are advised to pay special attention to subsequent news releases.
