At 4.00 a.m. the centre of Tropical Storm Nana was located near latitude 16.6 degrees north and longitude 39.3 degrees west or about 1,635 kilometres west of the Cape Verde Islands.

Nana is moving towards the west-northwest near 11 km/h and this general motion is expected to continue for the next day or two.

Maximum sustained winds are near 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Upper Level winds however, are not conducive for intensification and Nana is expected to weaken to a Tropical Depression later today.

Tropical Storm Nana is not a threat to Jamaica.
