Overseer at the time, asked me if he
could do a cheque in my name that
would facilitate the payment of some
workers because usually what he
would do, he would come and what
you call it , “take up the work,” and
there was somebody designated to do
those kind of works.
Chairman: What Lawrence is that?
A:
He is an older guy, I don’t remember
his first name, I know him as Mr.
Lawrence, that’s all. I had spoken to
him at the time asking him if it was
okay, he said there shouldn’t be any
problem if I did it, but that was the
only time, I’ve never, I can’t
consider it contract per se, as you
would think.
Chairman: About what year was that?
A:
I don’t remember exactly what year,
it was about 2008, thereabouts, so I
am not sure.
Chairman: Now you said that when the proposal
was done by you, you were working
at the constituency office?
