the main road from Moneague to Claremont. I normally carry
out bushing and drain cleaning work on the roads. Miss Smith
informed me that there was money allotted for the road and she
was going to review who is involved to work on the road.
When I went to the constituency office she told me that some
names were there and the amount of money each person was to
receive.
Miss Smith indicated to me that $280,000 was to be used for
bushing and drain cleaning. She then informed that the
breakdown of the allotment was as follows: Reginald Christie
would get $80,000; Roderick Riley is to get $50,000; Oswald
Jarrett would get $40,000. From the remaining balance of
$110,000, I was to receive $70,000. She said to me that she is also
to receive funds from the $110,000, the M.P. Lisa Hanna is to
receive funds from it and also “P” who is the Driver for the M.P.
Reginald Christie, Roderick Riley and Oswald Jarrett are
personally known to me. Roderick Riley is my brother.
I completed a mile of road (bushing and drain cleaning).
Reginald Christie, Roderick Riley and Oswald Jarrett also
completed works as well
.
I received a cheque in the amount of $280,000 from the St. Ann’s
Bay Public Works Department (National Works Agency). I
changed the cheque at National Commercial Bank and paid
Reginald Christie, Roderick Riley and Oswald Jarrett based on
instructions which were given by Miss Smith.
