It is instructive to note that the aforementioned statement which was provided by Mrs. McDonald was
provided in the presence of her Attorney-at-Law, Mr. Maurice Frankson, and was duly signed attesting to
it being the truth and with the knowledge that it may be tendered into evidence and the liability of
prosecution where it is found to be false.
The aforementioned disclosures which were made by Mrs. Joan McDonald, in her statement of November
12, 2015, concerning Ms. Andrea Smith as well as her involvement, if any, in the generation of the
document labelled Exhibit ‘JM1’ were put to Ms. Smith by the Contractor General during her appearance
on October 22, 2015. The following representations were made:
“CHAIRMAN:
... I am going now to JM2, that is what
Ms. Joan McDonald said was supplied
to her by Ms. Andrea Smith. The
names of the persons who she had
worked with. That is who Joan
McDonald worked with when she was
paid Four Hundred and Fourteen
Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars, that
document Mrs. Joan McDonald said
Andrea Smith gave her. You realize
the
document
JM1
has
the
Constituency Office seal on it with a
stamp, two of them on it. And that was
given to her by Ms. Andrea Smith. Ms.
Andrea Smith, you give Mrs. Joan
McDonald a document?

document giving to Mrs. McDonald.
