A:
I have a Deputy Superintendent. At present I
have three Assistant Superintendents; you have
Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, three
Assistant Superintendents and I have probably
about four Works Overseers. They are the ones
who do most of the monitoring at the base level.

CHAIRMAN:
You would agree with me that in some cases,
persons are actually signing that work is
satisfactorily done and actually don't check the
work?
A:
No, sir, I am not aware of that.
CHAIRMAN:
Never heard of it, that it happened in St Ann?
A:
I am not aware of it, but what I am aware of, I
let every officer know the importance of signing
their name that the work is done. I make sure to
drill that in everybody's head. Don't send a bill
to me if you have not seen it; better you defer it
for another week.”
