The Knowledge of the Member of Parliament of Allegations of Corruption and Impropriety at the
South East St. Ann Constituency Office
Against the background of the allegation which was made to the OCG on May 26, 2015, which,
inter alia
,
accused that the Member of Parliament of “…
deliberately failing to act on the knowledge that “Ann” and
others in her constituency office are running this racket to “rob the poor’,
the OCG deemed it prudent to
ascertain, amongst other things, whether the Member of Parliament, Ms. Lisa Hanna had any knowledge
of the stated allegations, as well as the extent of any such knowledge. In this regard, the following
questions and responses were recorded during a hearing which was conducted by the Contractor General
and wherein Ms. Lisa Hanna was summoned to provide responses:

One of the allegations that had been
made that had led to us commencing
this investigation is that when group
payments are made, the money is
taken back to Miss Andrea Smith and
she's the one who apportions money
to different persons.
Have you ever
heard, other than from me, that
allegation that is what was
happening?

I have heard it once or twice, sir.

Only when the Investigation started I
