Ms. Janet Henry, Works Overseer, St. Ann Municipal Corporation, was summoned by the Contractor
General and questions relating to the utilization of group payment,
inter alia
, were posed. The following is a
verbatim extract of questions posed and the responses provided:
“A:
Joan McDonald get a contract for a lot of different
districts so we met face to face with the leaders of each
district
.
CHAIRMAN:
What you talking about now?
A:
I am saying that she got a contract for different
districts.
CHAIRMAN:
How you know?
A:
Yes, because one person don't get a contract for one
district.
CHAIRMAN:
Ma'am, you just answering questions that I don't ask
you. Continue speaking, ma'am. What else you say
now?
A:
I am saying that maybe I know her face but not the
name; maybe I cannot pick it up.
CHAIRMAN:
What you tell me about she get contract for more than
one division? How you know one person get contract
for more than one district?
