a statement which was provided to the OCG on November 3, 2015, advised the OCG of the circumstances
under which she was awarded government contracts. The following,
inter alia
, was stated:
“
I have been awarded government contracts. I was given
road works. I have never really termed them as contracts,
it was Christmas works. I received government contracts
on more than one occasion.
The first time I receive a government contract was in
2012. The contract was awarded through the MP office
and the implementing agency was the NWA
. Miss
Andrea Smith told me the length and description of the
works and that it was from the NWA. I was awarded the
contract in December 2012.
Ms Andrea Smith was the
only person who contacted me about this contract.
I recall that for the contract I received in 2012, I was paid
$40,000.00. I signed a document at the PNP Office for this
contract
. The work that was done was from … Prosper Hall
to Jamaica Broilers.
When I say PNP Office I mean the
South East St. Ann Constituency Office.
When I say
document, I mean a contract.
At the time that I signed the document, the description of
the works to be performed and the contract value was
not on the document. I only signed the contract
.
They
gave me the document for me to fill in my TRN. That
was only thing written on the contract at the time that I
signed.
