I collected the cheque and he asked me to pay out the
$90,000.00. I got two (2) guys to clean the 5 drains that
I got and I gave them $6,000.00 each and I got $10,000
for myself. Of the
$90,000.00 I got $22,000.00 for drains I cleaned. I was
asked to give another man $43,000.00, his name is Alton
Davis to pay his persons to clean another set of drains.
Another lady got $18,000.00, her name is Melissa Weir
and other guy got $7,000.00, he is my brother, Michael
Hamilton.
For the cheque I collected for $90,000.00, I cleaned the
drains leading to Louis Barns. I am aware that Melissa
Weir did the drains on Mr. Lee Street to Louis Barns. All
the drains where work was done are located in this area. I
am aware that the persons who were paid actually did
work. Mr. Alton Davis did the drains leading up to
Coultart and Michael Hamilton also did his drain, which
was a big one, located at the parish tank in Rural Retreat.
I was told about this contract by Councillor Weir and he
also asked me to collect the cheque and pay the other
persons named. I was not told by Councillor Weir how
much money I would get for the cleaning of the drains.
At the time I did not know I was collecting $90,000.00. I
became aware when I collected the cheque.
